Three Kent Events To Look Out For This Weekend

Now that the Summer has finally arrived (well sort of), events are coming thick and fast.
This weekend (12th/13th June), the Town Regatta will be held on the Gravesend river front (or Riverside Leisure Area as Gravesham Borough Council pompously like to call it!). This is the first of the three regattas held in the town each Summer.

Admission is free but be warned there will be a fun fair on the promenade as well as plenty of charity and food stalls where you can be persuaded to part with your cash, especially if you've got the kids in tow.

Here are some pictures I took last year....

Put your backs into it girls!

Swanning around Gravesend style?

Also being held on the 12th/13th June is the Wrotham Classic Steam and Transport Rallywhich takes place in a large field at the top of Wrotham Hill on the A20.

We attended this event last year (see my blog post here) and had a very enjoyable family day out. The adult admission is not extortionate at only £ 6.

Here are a few pics to give you a taster of what is likely to be on show there this weekend...

The last of the three events I would like to mention is actually a national event called Open Farm Sunday.

This is taking place at many farms on Sunday 13th June. If you follow the link highlighted above, you can check for details of events taking place in Kent.

If you have enjoyed reading this post, please feel free to leave a comment. They are always welcome.
